Grape Variety: 100% Pinot Noir
Aging: 10 months in French oak
Region: Savoy Vineyard, Anderson Valley, California, USA
A versatile red wine for food pairing given the higher acidity and lower tannin. It tastes well with pork, duck, chicken and mushrooms. Recommended temperature: 18°C (64°F).
The 2014 Savoy Pinot Noir is an elegant wine with massive amounts of pomegranate and crushed violets on the nose. There are layers of white pepper and gravel minerality on the nose. Due to the long cold maceration the wine is full and lush on the palate. The tannins are present but not dominating with complimenting acidity. Dark cherries and dusty cocoa are present on the palate and the finish is long with more pomegranate. This beautiful wine will age gracefully over the next 8-9 years (2023-2024)
