Aging: Alcoholic fermentation occurs in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures for 12 days, followed by 30 days of malolactic fermentation, with aging in French oak barrels.

Region: Castrillo de Duero, D.O. Ribera del Duero, Spain

Hito pairs well with both meat-based pasta dishes like lasagna and Bolognese, as well as vegetable pasta dishes, thanks to its body and red fruit notes. It also enhances sweet dishes featuring cream or nuts, as its youthful character balances the richness and creaminess of these desserts.

This wine aims to provide consumers with the freshest and most aromatic version of our variety, made from the same grapes as our premium reds, without any aging. Hito red wine exemplifies versatility and is the youngest range from Bodegas Cepa 21, showcasing modernity and elegance in every glass.

Harvest Characteristics: The 2022 vintage experienced low winter rainfall and high spring and summer temperatures, resulting in rapid growth and early ripening. Rains before harvest balanced the grape composition, yielding excellent phenolic and sanitary quality.
