The Roca family arrived from Spain and Italy in 1912. They settled in San Rafael and continued their tradition of cultivating vineyards. They mostly planted Malbec, which adapted really well to the region. The winery was built in 1905, and it’s original structure has been preserved up to this day.
Being located in San Rafael provides clear transparent water coming down from the Andes mountains on the south of Mendoza.
The wine has a dark crimson color. Its aroma contains spicy notes that remind you of black pepper and plums, mixed with toasted oak and tobacco. In the mouth, there's a perfect balance between acidity and alcohol. There’s also a good balance within the tannins, which are firm but soft.
