On the view It has a deep ruby red color. On the nose you will perceive notes like Cherry, Plum, Currant, Black pepper, and Eucalyptus. This is a soft wine on the palate, young, balanced, with a frank fruit profile, low astringency that makes it easy to drink. Baya Baya combines the fruitiness and freshness of our Cabernet Sauvignon together with the power and expression of Petit Verdot.
Fermented separately and blended before MLF, they spend 6 months in contact with new French oak, refining their primary tannins and increasing their complexity. The French oak brings toasted coffee notes and potentiates the natural red fruits of the wine.
The 2022 season started with a cold and short winter with minimal rainfall (around 150mm) which is well below average. The presence of Santa Ana winds during flowering caused a loss of approximately 40% of production, resulting in a greater concentration of flavors, favoring fruit profiles.
