3.    On the palate, it is powerful, with tannins that are present but rounded, confirming freshness and fruitiness with a broad, dry finish. The one trait that Touriga Nacional really excels in is its bold tannins, a characteristic that softens with aging.

Wine Profile:

Arquiduque has been owned by the Fonseca family since 2010, and it is produced from vineyards over 40 years old, resulting in wines of the highest quality.

Touriga Nacional is a thick-skinned grape from Portugal that produces full-bodied red wines with aging potential, like Cabernet Sauvignon. This underrated grape variety is most used as a blending grape in Port wine and has only recently been recognized as a standalone dry red wine.
