Grape Variety: 100 % Pinot Noir
Region: San Rafael, Mendoza
Aging: 8 months in oak
The Roca family arrived from Spain and Italy in 1912. They settled in San Rafael and continued their tradition of cultivating vineyards. They mostly planted Malbec, which adapted really well to the region. The winery was built in 1905, and its original structure has been preserved up to this day.
Being located in San Rafael provides clear transparent water coming down from the Andes mountains on the south of Mendoza.
The wine has a crimson red color. Its aroma is intense, floral and fruity. It has notes of cherries and black fruits, with a balanced final toasted scent. In the mouth, the fruitiness is confirmed, with flavors of red fruits and ripe plum. This is a very subtle and elegant wine with a persistent end.
