There are names that condition our reactions before our taste buds get a chance to give a verdict. This is often the case with wines that carry the name of Côte de Nuits. The soils of this region produce strong and well-rounded wines, thanks to a calcareous composition and a good layer of clay loam.
The wine has a deep red color. Its aroma incorporates notes of blackcurrant with other black and red berries. The Gevrey Chambertin is a strong wine, which harmonizes with soft tannins. It can be conserved for 5 to 15 years.
