The Roca family arrived from Spain and Italy in 1912. They settled in San Rafael and continued their tradition of cultivating vineyards. They mostly planted Malbec, which adapted really well to the region. The winery was built in 1905, and its original structure has been preserved up to this day.
Being located in San Rafael provides clear transparent water coming down from the Andes mountains on the south of Mendoza.
The wine has an intense ruby red color. Its aroma contains some notes of plums and anise mixed with the scent of vanilla and other spices like pepper. In the mouth, the wine stands out for its smoothness on the palate, its present but very friendly tannins, a correct acidity, and a great potential for aging.
