Wine Profile:
Vineyards classified Grand Cru Pfersigberg. The wine is sweet but with a fantastic acidity that helps the palate never get bored.
Full-bodied and well-structured, is probably the best-known Alsace wine. Its intense bouquet displays rich aromas of fruit, flowers and spices (gewurz = spicy). Powerful and seductive, sometimes slightly sweet, it can often age well.
Bright golden yellow. Exotic aromas of tropical fruit, with notes of rose petals, ginger, miles and exotic fruits such as mango, lychees and pineapple, licorice, flowers and sweet vanilla. Explosive on the palate, offering extremely concentrated flavors of mango, grilled peach, papaya, licorice and sweet spices. This very youthful wine features outstanding sweetness perfectly counterpointed by strong acidity. The fine tannins are coated with fruit on the long, tactile finish. Very fresh and lively, and not at all heavy. This is made from grapes grown in a vineyard near Husseren-les-Chateaux that usually go into the Comtes d'Eguisheim Gewurztraminer.
